Summary

Dedicated theatre professional seeks new challenge in Theatre. I have a proven track record of successfully directing a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre for thirteen years, plus eight years of college teaching experience.

Artistic/Executive Director, 7/99 to Present
I founded Starlight Mountain Theatre with my wife and parents in 1999 and we just finished our tenth season. Starlight is a professional summer-stock theatre company from May through September, and a community theatre company during the winter and spring. We also offer after-school youth programs and theatre classes, as well as youth productions.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:
• Work with the Board of Directors to develop fiscal budgets, business plans, and marketing strategies.
• Work with “Starlight Family” volunteers, delegating and overseeing essential services.
• Work with ticketing agencies.
• Oversee all programs and day-to-day operations at the theatre.
• Select shows and seasons for summer and winter.
• Procure all contracts with music houses for production royalties, rentals and rights for every show.
• Procure and/or create music soundtracks for each show.
• Design costumes, lights and sound for each show.
• Design and construct sets and set pieces for each show.
• Organize and hold auditions for each show, including our annual “Audition Tour” where we travel to several colleges and universities to audition theatre students for our professional summer-stock season.
• Cast each show and work directly with actors before and during each production.
• Direct most shows for summer and winter seasons.
• Maintain theatre web-site.
• Produce e-newsletters for theatre patrons and marketing targets.
• Design and oversee youth programs, theatre workshops and community outreach program
• Secure sponsors, advertisers and supporters for the theatre.
