Summary
I have been a professional director and teaching artist since 2013. While my range of directing is wide, my favorite style of theatre is devising. As a teaching artist, I have led writing workshops for middle school and high school-age students.
Education
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing, Playwriting, and Production with a minor in Film/Digital Video from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated cum laude in 2013. During my time at UArts, I studied abroad at Central St. Martins at UAL, London, UK, studying Performance Design and Practice.

Experience
In the early years after graduating college, I worked with an organization called Philadelphia Dramatists Center often, directing staged readings of plays written by emerging playwrights and helping those writers develop their work. I was part of a collective of young theatre artists called Reject Theatre Project that was committed to producing the cohorts “passion projects.” I learned an indelible amount about leadership and fundraising while in Reject Theatre Project. Outside of those ventures, I directed and produced several shows in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Favorites include directing Athol Fugard’s Statements After an Arrest Under the Immorality Act, a two-hander about an illegal affair in apartheid South Africa; Haygen Brice Walker’s Spookfish, an absurdist, nihilist, in-yer-face-esque play about a group of teenagers working at a bad haunted house; and The Live-Streaming Confessional of #stacylucky, a one-person play I wrote, produced, and performed that concerned a lost young woman reaching for answers via the streaming platform Twitch. All of these directing experiences have stripped away my confidence and built it back up, teaching me the impermanence of both the art form and life itself.
