Summary

Hello. I am an actor, director, and a Dueling Arts International certified Full Instructor of stage combat, Advanced Actor Combatant, and fight director. In addition, I have 15 years of experience teaching in higher education, including at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. I am interested in expanding into academic and/or artistic leadership positions, such as assistant/associate artistic director, department chair, or assistant/associate dean positions.

THA 113 & 114: Movement I

Introduction to the principles of The Expressive Actor: Integrated Voice, Movement and Acting Training in the fall semester. The Expressive Actor techniques and principles are applied to text in the spring semester.

          THA 214: Movement II- Stage Combat

Based on the Dueling Arts International level-one stage combat curriculum, this course focuses on the safety, technique, and acting requirements of three weapon disciplines.

          THA 254: Movement for Actors

This non-major course explores and applies the principles of physical characterization.

THA 311: Acting III

An in-depth study of acting Shakespeare, focusing on text and physicality.

THA 313: Styles of Period Movement

Introduction to physical requirements and techniques of verse, neutral mask, Commedia dell’ Arte, and high style for third-year BFA students. Application to works from Ancient Greece, the English and Italian Renaissance, Neoclassical France, and the English Restoration.

THA 455: Acting for the Camera

Techniques and strategies for acting on camera.
