Summary

I have over twenty five years of finance experience with increasing levels of responsibility and staff management, along with an MBA in Business Management and Finance. Along with my finance experience, I am also a practicing Artist with my own web site, social media presence and pieces in private collections.

Set up and run my own business to promote and sell my original fibre art designs, provide expert hand and machine quilting services, and help customers preserve memories through transforming previously constructed quilts that are beyond repair or by combining personal textiles, pictures, etc. into new quilts.

Principle Account Clerk, SUNY Rockland Community College, Suffern, NY 2005 – 2015

Supervise the Accounts Payable department, reducing the needed staff from two full time employees, to one full time    employee. Reduced past due accounts and improved vendor relations.

  • • Review and voucher vendor invoices for payment.
  • • Notify departments of missing paperwork that will delay vendor payments.
  • • Process and print the deductions for the bi-weekly payroll.

Senior Clerk, SUNY Rockland Community College, Suffern, NY 1998 – 2005

Supervised the refund and registration department staff of two employees responsible for collections of past due accounts, and processing refunds. Supervised the registration staff of 8 to 10 employees during in-person student registration. Worked closely with the Bursar and other college offices to facilitate student registration, as well as the continual daily functions of the office.

  • • Reviewed and revised the Bursar function of the student registration procedure to improve student service.
  • • Reviewed and revised the refund procedure periodically.
  • • Assisted students and their parents with any problems or questions regarding their accounts.
  • • Handled student/parent complaints.
  • • Worked with staff and the Rockland County Attorneys office to improve collection procedures.
