Hi! I am a playwright, artist, theatre-maker, and educator in search of a challenging and enriching employment opportunity.

Education

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theater & Dance from Amherst College. I also briefly studied sociology, French literature, and the dramatic arts at L’université de St. Denis in Paris, where I became fluent in French.

Experience

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Front of House, The Huntington Theatre (August 2023-present)

  • Responsible for welcoming and greeting patrons, operating the concession bar and coat check, scanning and checking tickets, handing out programs, and helping seat patrons.

Artistic Director of Amherst College Green Room (Fall 2019–Spring 2022)

  • Responsible for envisioning, crafting, and executing a vision for each theatrical season, in collaboration with other members of the executive board; scheduling, leading, and facilitating club meetings; coordinating scheduling and advertising for shows, and acting as club liaison in communications with college administration. 

Insomnia Cookies Gifting Department Worker (January 2021-May 2022)

  • Packaged and arranged cookie orders for shipment and delivery.

Whole Foods Market In-Store Shopper and Team Trainer (August-December 2020)

  • Operating under a tight schedule and in a high-stress environment, received and fulfilled online grocery orders. Responsible for training other shoppers in how to correctly shop for and process orders as quickly as possible. 

Technician and Summer Research Intern, Amherst College Department of Theater & Dance (Summer 2020)

  • Researched and compiled a comprehensive list of theater and dance resources.

Scene Shop Technician, Amherst College Department of Theater & Dance (2019-2021)

  • Responsible for designing, building, and breaking down sets; collaborating to produce and install lighting plots; other miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning and maintenance of theater spaces and dressing rooms. 

Stage Manager for Peace in the Home, an original thesis in playwriting by Mackenzie Kugel (Fall 2019)

  • Responsible for creating a rehearsal schedule; ensuring actors attended and were on time to rehearsals; taking notes on lighting, costuming, and sound; giving lighting and sound cues to operators during performances. 

Counselor, Outpost Director, Trips Director, and LIT I Leader at YMCA Camp Olson (2018-2020)

  • Facilitated games, activities, and learning experiences for children ages eight to seventeen; worked with counselor coordinators and other staff to address behavioral issues and other interpersonal problems between campers; taught wilderness skills such as campfire building and canoeing to older campers; led campers on three-day canoeing and camping trips through Voyageurs National Park in Northern Minnesota; cared for and managed equipment and food inventory for backpacking trips.

Student Teaching Assistant for 10th & 11th Grade Honors English, 2017-2018 

  • Graded multiple choice exams, helped students write and edit essays and prep for exams, and answered questions about course materials. 

Students Against Sexual Assault President and Co-Founder, 2016-2018

  • Responsible for creating educational content around human sexuality and advocating for a compassionate and comprehensive approach to sex education. 

Home Rule Charter Writer and Advocate, 2017-2019

  • Along with a group of other students, edited the Rochester Home Rule Charter in order to remove sexist language and appeared in front of the city council to advocate for the changes to be ratified. 

Health Curriculum Student Consultant for the Rochester Public School District (2017-2018)

  • Participated in meetings and brainstorming sessions with School Board members and other community leaders in order to improve the efficacy and accuracy of the Rochester Public School district health curriculum. 

Grant Writer for the Mayo High School SOS Room (2016-2018)

  • In writing, requested funds from various charitable organizations in order to maintain a free supply of clothing and food for underserved students and their families. 

Israeli Dance Teacher, B’nai Israel Synagogue (2014-2018) 

 

  • Served as a co-teacher with the cantor and music teachers for the synagogue’s Hebrew school, creating original Sunday school lesson plans and activities for over 50 students,  http://www.bnaiisraelmn.org.
