Opera Philadelphia recognizes that discussions regarding race, racism, and oppression are complicated due to our diverse experiences with and involvement in systems of privilege and power. We pledge to keep up the efforts to establish an inclusive workplace culture devoid of prejudice, bigotry, and hate speech. Together, we will create new inclusive anti-oppressive rules that will help dismantle discriminatory and oppressive institutions in opera and the wider society. Opera Philadelphia is ready to carry out this duty and to silence those who promote racialized racism and moral inferiority.
