Job Description
The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Educator, Interpretation, Research and Digital Learning to write, update, and migrate content to the Bloomberg Connects app. This is a three-year grant funded, fixed term position. Reporting to the Director of Interpretation, Research and Digital Learning, the incumbent will project manage and migrate existing written, audio, and video content to the BCM app.
Responsibilities:
- Works with key stakeholders on an ongoing content plan for BCM highlighting MoMA’s collection rotations, temporary exhibitions, events, important dates, and for audiences including kids, visitors with disabilities, and international visitors.
- Writes and coordinates translation for introductory text, FAQs and other required contextualizing information to support the user experience.
- Liaises internally and externally—between MoMA departments and with Bloomberg Connects team—to advance content production, technical development, and marketing and promotional needs.
- Supports optimal user experience by testing content for usability and accessibility among multiple audiences, assisting with user testing and evaluation, and coordinating, summarizing, and analyzing user feedback.
- Provides coordination and administrative support for recording, translating, archiving, and licensing audio content.
Coordinates the production of any new video content for the app. - Works with IRDL and L&E colleagues to produce cross-functional digital learning content, including audio, video, and text to be incorporated into BCM app.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and two to three years experience in digital content production or project management for visitor/user experience in a museum setting or equivalent combination.
- Proficient in CMSs for publishing digital content, Asana, HTML, Google Analytics, Google Docs, Photoshop, and other software/programs.
- Experience in writing accessible and engaging content for general public audiences and incorporating visitor feedback into project designs.
- Exceptional time-management and personal organization skills.
- Proactive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, changing development environment.
- Fully vaccinated with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or the World Health Organization authorized vaccine (or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation due to a qualified disability or sincerely held religious belief or other legal basis).
Salary: The salary for this position is $60,299.
