Full-Time Director of Theatre
Emporia State University, Department of Communication and Theatre, seeks a Director of its undergraduate theatre program.
This is a twelve-month, tenure-track position at the rank of associate professor or professor to begin June 14, 2020.
The Director of Theatre responsibilities include administrative oversight of productions, budgeting, curriculum development and public relations.
Duties will include a half-time teaching load (two courses per semester) and the administration of an active theatre program with four full-time faculty and two full-time staff positions. The successful applicant will direct at least one production during the academic year and one during the summer theatre season.
A Ph.D. or M.F.A. plus a strong teaching background in directing and acting are required. Expertise and experience in musical theatre direction is desired.
