Summary
Karen Dauenhauer is a Scenic Designer and Scenic Artist. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2016 with a B.A. in Theatre and a Minor in Music. She received her M.F.A. in Scenic Design from the University of Georgia in May of 2021.
Karen first became involved with theatre when she played a minor role in a community college production of The Wizard of Oz at the age of 12. Her past credits include director, choreographer, technician, and actor; all of which have influenced her work as a designer.
Karen served as Technical Director and Clinical Assistant Professor at Coker University from August 2021 through June 2023. In August 2023, she began her new position as Assistant Professor of Scenic Design for the Theatre Arts Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
