Summary
I’m a mostly self taught artist who’s proficient in digital and traditional art forms. I’ve done character design work, private digital art commissions work and more. I’ve dabbled in multiple art forms included but not limited to painting, watercolor, charcoal, sculpture, fabrication and more.
Education
I went to Naperville Central Highschool where I took regular and AP art classes. My medium of choice at the time was traditional and ink work.
I graduated and got a dean’s scholarship to the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, I unfortunately did not finish my degree there but continued to hone my craft on my own.
Experience
My artistic career experience has consisted of doing digital art commissions for clients I networked with via social media platforms. These mainly consisted of character design work and illustrations of original characters for private use. I’ve also created designs for an indie animation project that’s working on a independently made anime style production.
My regular career has been primarily in retail and customer service. I’ve worked as a retail supervisor overseeing teams of various sizes for Goodwill, PUMA, HomeGoods and The Fresh Market. My time with The Fresh Market was as both a manager and florist, as I was the sole person responsible for the floral department and did everything from visual merchandising, inventory management, operations management and plant care. I also worked for an independent business called Heritage House Florist as a floral designer.
I’m currently working full time as a store manager in training with CVS. My ultimate goal is to make a career in art and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to review my portfolio and application.
