The Editor & Post-Production Coordinator, Media is part of a dynamic media team within the company’s Marketing & Media department and will play a role in the creation of all seasonal and institutional related media projects and activities to further the brand and promote the Company’s annual season at Lincoln Center, as well as touring activities nationally and internationally. Position reports to the Director, Media and will work with all members of the department.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Edit short form recurring projects including Anatomy of a Dance (AOAD), Marketing 30s (Mkt30s), Cutdowns and other social media assets as well as updating existing promos
  • Edit some longer-form projects, schedule & time permitting (such as Rep Trailers, Full performances, Annual Luncheon, Podcast episode etc.)
  • Create Post-schedules for projects in collaboration with Director, Media & Producer, Media
  • Create Spec Sheets & make sure deliverables meet specs in collaboration with Director, Media & Producer
  • Assist with trafficking projects with post team to completion, coordinating between editing, color/sound and production
  • Develop and refine systems to streamline post workflow
  • Help source and build relationships with new editors, colorists, sound mixers
  • Media manage on all video shoots
  • Assist administrative teams, in conjunction with Asset Manager, Media, with retrieval, exporting, and uploading video clips for website, press, advertising, social media and other misc. purposes
  • Work with Asset Manager, Media to accurately ingest, log, organize, and tag all past and current media team files and ensure that all projects are backed up
  • Catalog and manage media team hard drives
  • Coordinate with IT to make sure that we are in good standing with available storage space (EditShare & Server)
  • Coordinate with IT to maintain post-production software updates
  • Manage and organize our “post accounts” including Vimeo, WeTransfer, Hightail
  • Coordinate graphics as needed
  • Assist with overseeing Marketing Library performance captures
  • Adhere to the set asset management system guidelines
  • Assist with other department activities as needed

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Film School Degree w/3 years of video post-production/editing work experience
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing and post-production software, Premiere Pro and After Effects preferred
  • Knowledge of digital media asset management principles and best practices
  • Experience with metadata tagging preferred, EditShare MAM System a plus
  • Command of MS Office, and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, with a command of English grammar, composition, and proofing
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Some equipment lifting required
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and/or weekends in theater and on location
  • A demonstrated interest in the arts/culture, ballet and/or NYCB a plus

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently exposed to:

  • Office and production set environment
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time, salaried position. The hours or work are typically between 10 AM and 6 PM weekdays; position requires the ability to work performances and production shoots that involve evenings and weekends.
