Position-Specific Strengths

The two part-time Artbeat Studio Coordinators will share the overall responsibilities of the Artbeat Studio while bringing different areas of expertise and interest to the program.

Studio & Artist Development:
Preference may be given to candidates with strengths in hands-on art, creative development, working directly with artists, product development, and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Shop, Marketing & Community Engagement:
Preference may be given to candidates with strengths in retail, merchandising, inventory management, social media, photography, graphic design, online sales, community outreach, and developing relationships with businesses and community partners.

Both coordinators are expected to work directly with Artbeat artists. While each coordinator may have a primary area of responsibility, flexibility and teamwork are essential to the success of the Artbeat Studio.

Additional Expectations

  • Demonstrate respect for the individuality, creativity, dignity, choices, and abilities of each Artbeat artist.
  • Be comfortable working in a hands-on and sometimes unpredictable environment.
  • Be willing to assist with a variety of studio activities rather than limiting responsibilities to one particular artistic medium or area.
  • Be willing to support the overall mission of Wood County Society and assist with other programs and activities when needed.
  • Previous experience is valued; however, a strong work ethic, creativity, compassion, dependability, and willingness to learn are equally important.
