Art Instructor

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Art Instructor / Art Teacher to join our creative team in Fremont, CA.

This role involves teaching drawing, sketching, painting, and mixed media art to children and teens in a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.

This is a hands-on teaching role in a private art institute (not a school-credentialed teaching position). Candidates with strong art fundamentals and a genuine love for teaching kids are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach drawing, sketching, painting, and craft projects to kids and teens
• Follow and implement the institute’s structured art curriculum
• Assist classes under the guidance of senior instructors when required
• Adapt lesson plans creatively based on student age, skill level, and learning pace
• Prepare art materials and organize the classroom according to lesson plans
• Keep students engaged, disciplined, and motivated throughout the class
• Make the learning process fun, interactive, and inspiring
• Bring new project ideas and collaborate with the team creatively
• Maintain clear, polite, and positive communication with students, parents, and staff
• Ensure punctuality, professionalism, and responsibility toward teaching schedules

Required Qualifications

• Strong skills in drawing, sketching, and painting
• Solid understanding of art fundamentals, subjects, and multiple mediums
• Art portfolio link or sample artwork submission is mandatory to be considered
• Original artworks must be available upon request
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, especially with children
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm toward teaching and learning

Preferred (Plus Points)

• Prior experience teaching kids or teens
• Understanding of child psychology and classroom behavior management
• Experience teaching art & craft projects to children
• Ability to generate new creative ideas for art projects

(Training will be provided if craft experience is limited)

Commitment Requirement

• Minimum 2-year long-term commitment required
• Must be reliable, punctual, and consistent with teaching responsibilities

Health & Professional Standards

• Candidate should be in good general health
• No major health conditions that may interrupt regular teaching
• Non-smoking and free from substance addiction
