Summary
Hello, I’m a fine arts student at St. John’s University in my senior year. I use my skills to create whimsical images expressing my attitudes toward different life experiences. Although each piece pertains to a personal experience, I hope to inspire others to devise their own interpretations of my work, generating stories that inspire conversations. Communication and inspiration are my favorite aspects of art. I hope to surround myself with those who also share a love of creating and interpreting all that can be experienced.
Education
I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fine arts at St. John’s University, and I am expected to graduate in January 2023. I have taken multiple studio art courses, including drawing, painting, figure and anatomy, printmaking, and photography. My artwork, Reflection and Memory, was featured in the Yeh Art Gallery’s student show in May 2022. It is a childhood self-portrait created with acrylic paint, colored pencil, and marker on canvas paper affixed to a mirror. In addition, I have taken several art history courses ranging from early human history to contemporary art. Both my studio and art history courses allowed me to tour galleries in New York and conduct research.
Experience
Volunteer Work
I have been volunteering at Last Hope Animal Rescue since October 2018. The responsibilities include cleaning, feeding, and socializing cats within the rescue’s care. Furthermore, I occasionally assist the medical team by handling cats receiving examinations and treatments.
