New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU)
The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) promotes civil rights and freedoms to ensure that every New Yorker can experience dignity, liberty, justice, and equality.
Established in 1951 as the New York branch of the national ACLU, our mission is inspired by the unfulfilled potential of the Bill of Rights and the Constitutions of both the United States and New York State. With eight offices throughout New York and a membership of over 90,000 donors, we link various movements addressing complex issues, guided by our communities and supported by our members.
