Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Theater Production, General Theater, or related field. Five years production management, event management and theater maintenance of a performing arts facility or theater is required.
Recruitment Notes
An employee in this class is responsible for leadership in providing event planning, event production, and facility management. The incumbent provides schedules and supervises all backstage activity and is responsible for delegating all technical tasks. Specific responsibilities include organizing, planning, and executing all aspects of each event to ensure that the event is operating efficiently, managing events by making decisions regarding technical emergencies, theater emergencies, safety, financial interests of the client (internally or externally), and/or financial interests of The Dennis C. Moss Center.
The candidate would be responsible for overriding, accepting, or rejecting production staging techniques described by executive management, presenters, representatives, local organizations, or guest artists. Responsibilities also include advancing performances as assigned, i.e., identifying technical needs, creating crew schedule, executing logistical details, enforcement of lease agreement requirements and facility maintenance and repair work.
