Technical Assistant

The Florence Little Theatre is looking to add an employee as an integral part of our production.  We are in need of a motivated individual, who has a creative side, to assist behind the scenes with the technical portion of production.  If you would love to be involved in a production, but not necessarily on stage, this job may be for you.

Job Description:

Assists the Technical Director in all technical aspects producing a show, including but not limited to: set and prop construction, set painting, lighting, A/V, production support, and some general building maintenance.

Required:  

Some experience with power tools. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to climb a ladder on a consistent basis and work at significant heights. General knowledge of painting techniques. Ability to lift 50lbs to 75lbs when needed.  Flexible schedule and ability to work nights and weekends.

Preferred:  

Some knowledge of technical theatre production.  Good knowledge of carpentry.  Creative and/or artistic skills.  Some knowledge of audio and lighting technology. Comfortable working without direct supervision.
