Job Description

Local Theater Company (LTC) in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a highly motivated and established marketing manager to continue the growth of our Company including management of all facets of marketing: design, communications, social media/digital and print ad buys, and email strategy.

The MARKETING MANAGER oversees all marketing activities including collaborating with graphic design firm and utilizing personal design skills to create and build email and social media campaigns and printed materials, engaging community organizations and working in concert with Co-Artistic Directors, and developing digital and print ad strategies in order to support Local Theater Company’s mission: to discover, develop and produce new theatrical works.

The MARKETING MANAGER is an experienced professional (5+ years of experience) with a basic understanding of professional theater. Local Theater Company will produce three mainstage productions and a weekend-long festival of new plays, Local Lab, during Season 12. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the marketing campaigns for these events including ancillary gatherings.


You “get” Local’s existing marketing voice and can emulate and develop it, whether it be through written communication or imagery. Local values community building, collaboration, and wise, humorous and intelligent theater makers. You’re excited to celebrate and share these values with our community, our audience.

You are fluent in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and email marketing platforms. You are comfortable using the tools necessary to share the story. You see data as a helpful tool to understand what’s resonating. WHAT IF… thinking. You’ve read the play, you’ve heard a read through… now, you can’t wait to synthesize that information and build an engaging social media, e-blast, and digital ad campaign.

You can open the Adobe Suite and comfortably navigate Premier, Photoshop and InDesign. You know how to showcase Local, our community, in an exciting, authentic way. You appreciate the details.

Physical Functions: Sitting for up to 4.0 hours at a time and using a computer and phone for lengthy periods.

Rate: This is a part-time position. Approx. 25 hours a week. Salary $30,000.
