Executive Director, Performing Arts Center

Job Description
Osceola County, Florida seeks an experienced Performing Arts Center executive to lead its efforts for the development of the business and operating model for the creation of a performing arts center in the heart of NeoCity Center.
NeoCity Center is a planned urban development in Osceola County, Florida, aiming to be a “live, work, play” community focused on high-tech industries. It’s part of the larger NeoCity project, envisioned as a hub for semiconductor and advanced packaging, fostering collaboration between universities, research institutions, and tech companies. The center itself will feature amenities like restaurants, retail, a plaza, lake access, and a performing arts center.
The ideal candidate has robust experience in all aspects of performing arts center management, including but not limited to, the development of business and operating models, governance structures, strategic plans, design, construction, operation of the building, as well as programming, creative initiatives and the creation of the vision, mission, brand for performing arts venues and fundraising.
Essential Job Functions
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. - Develops a business and operating model plan to present to County Administration and the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners.
- Works with architects and engineers to create detailed designs for the performance spaces, including seating layouts, stage rigging, lighting systems and acoustics.
- Works with the construction management team to ensure design and operational integrity while keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
- Develops operational plans for the venue, including staffing, scheduling, and maintenance.
- Develops a plan to maintain event activity while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Develops and implements the organization’s strategic plan in alignment with the mission and vision.
- Develops a 3-5 year fundraising and capital plan, along with the tools and resources needed to implement the plan.
- Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and resources allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Secures funding through grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
- Develops and executes marketing strategies to enhance the Center’s visibility and reputation.
- Oversees media relations, public communications, and promotional activities.
- Ensures the programming is relevant and aligned with the Center’s mission.
- Represents the Center at community events, public meetings, and other forums.
- Performs other as assigned/necessary which are related or logical in assignment to the position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Management or related field required. - Experience:
Six (6) years experience performing duties consistent with the Essential Job Functions previously outlined. - Miscellaneous:
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Target Salary Range: $131,476.80 to $176,030.40
Depending on Experience and Qualifications: Salary Range: $131,476.80 to $203,798.40
