Call for Certified Dance Educator: Guest Masterclasses, Residencies & Future Opportunities 

Our dance program at duPont Manual High School’s Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) in Louisville, Kentucky is expanding our roster of guest artists and educators for masterclasses, short-term residencies and additional opportunities during the upcoming 26-27 school year.

YPAS is a performing arts magnet within duPont Manual High School, recently ranked the #1 high school in Kentucky and #136 in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. Our nationally recognized dance program serves highly motivated student artists in an audition-based environment. The curriculum is intentionally designed to mirror university dance programs, emphasizing technical rigor, creative inquiry, performance, and preparing students for success in collegiate programs and beyond.

As we continue to develop and expand our dance curriculum, we are especially interested in connecting with educators who bring strong expertise in jazz, African diasporic dance forms, hip hop and/or contemporary.

We invite dance educators who currently hold a state licensure/certification in dance education or a closely related field — or who anticipate certification by May/June 2026 to share their information with us for consideration.

Guest artists may be invited to lead (in-person or online):

• Technique masterclasses
• Repertory or choreography workshops
• Short-term creative residencies with our dancers
• Guest artists may also be encouraged to apply for anticipated full-time faculty openings.

Located in Louisville, a vibrant city with a growing arts community and nationally recognized performing arts organizations, our program values bringing diverse artistic voices into the classroom.

• Resume or CV
• Video link to a teaching sample
• Video link to choreography sample
• Application deadline: May 15, 2026

Initial teaching engagements will take place between August and November 2026. Submissions will help us build a pool of guest artists for the coming year and beyond and allow us to learn more about interested educators working in the field.
