Art Class Assistant (Part-time)

Ballet Tech, the NYC Public School for Dance, seeks an enthusiastic and reliable class assistant to support our Visual Arts teacher in creating a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment for our students.

Schedule & Hours:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
8–10 hours per week
Variable schedule, with all work hours between 9:00am–2:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Assist the visual art teacher with classroom setup and cleanup
• Support students with art projects and materials
• Help manage classroom flow and organization
• Maintain supplies and assist with preparation of materials
• Provide general support to ensure a safe and creative learning environment

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children preferred
• Interest or background in visual arts
• Dependable, organized, and proactive
• Comfortable working as part of a team in a school setting
