Contract Job Paul Nicholson Arts Management Fellowship
The Paul Nicholson Arts Management Fellowship was created to honor the 33 year career of OSF Executive Director Emeritus, Paul Nicholson. This seven (7) month Fellowship is designed to provide a career-enrichment opportunity to an outstanding professional that is poised to use the experience to launch a career in arts management and/or is positioned to use this experience to bolster an existing career as an arts leader.
The chosen Fellow will work with the festival’s current Executive Director, Cynthia Rider and will be tasked to coordinate and lead complex projects that include multiple administrative departments. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated capacity for administrative leadership, must have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and must have a demonstrated interest in leading an arts organization. Paul Nicholson was a thoughtful arts manager who believed in the transformative role of theatre. This Fellowship honors those values and hopes to find a candidate committed to putting those values into action. Experience working on large scale and complex projects is a plus. Prior theatre experience is not required.
This Fellowship will likely begin in late March and conclude mid-November of 2018. So, you have a higher probability of being selected if you are available at that time. The recipient will receive a $10,000 stipend, complimentary furnished housing, and round-trip domestic airfare.
In order to apply for this award, please complete the online application no later than
July 1, 2017.
