Position Overview

We seek a dynamic Sales Director to drive sales growth and client development alongside our Executive Director, focusing on expanding our collector base and establishing our gallery as a major international contemporary art market player.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Client Development: Grow collector base, drive revenue, identify high-value prospects, develop sales strategies, represent gallery at art fairs
• Client Relations: Provide expert guidance, maintain client relationships, develop VIP programs, coordinate private viewings
• Market Development: Expand international presence, build strategic relationships with museums and institutions

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 7-10 years in contemporary art sales with proven track record
• Network: Strong existing collector and art market professional connections
• Skills: Exceptional sales/negotiation abilities, outstanding communication, cultural sophistication
• Education: Bachelor’s in Art History/Fine Arts (Master’s preferred)
• Languages: Fluent English required; Italian knowledge preferred but willingness to learn acceptable; other languages an asset
