The Sherrill Milnes VOICE Programs, which comprises the Savannah VOICE Festival, VOICExperience Foundation and the Sherrill Milnes legacy, seeks a capable, friendly and computer savvy person to take the programs and its initiatives to the next level of their success.
The programs seek an energized and self-starting applicant able to organize, track and find creative ways to promote and execute ticket sales, nurture sponsors and contributors, and manage donor memberships in this multi-faceted program. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this full-time, with seasonal peaks, position works with patrons of all the Milnes programs, in Savannah, Georgia and, at specific times of the season, in New York, Florida and Chicago. Promotional responsibilities include print design, website management, social media, creative writing and event planning. Knowledge of advanced computer skills is necessary and general understanding of Indesign, Mailchimp, Facebook (and other social media platforms), Word Press and Salesforce preferred. Must be willing to learn new things and express an enthusiastic interest in the performing arts and education. Past experience in box office, front of house or patron services preferred.
Candidates must effectively interact with patrons, volunteers and interns. A good team player should be willing to work flexible hours in a music filled environment. Basic knowledge of opera and other vocal music not essential, but helpful. Business hours expected from Monday through Friday, with weekend and evening work at specific times of the year, to support festival events and training programs. Some travel needed in this growing non-profit arts initiative. Minimum of Bachelor degree or equivalent experience of job requirements necessary. Paid vacations with possible benefit supplement.
