This appointment is open to any artist who would enhance our established coursework, especially in the following degree programs: Studio Arts, Digital Arts, and Theatre Arts. We strongly encourage applications from artists whose creative agenda may be seen as untraditional and blend elements of these and other often separate practices. We seek a teacher-scholar who is committed to undergraduate education and modeling an active and engaged creative agenda for our students. Ideally, this new colleague should also be committed to pursuing collaborations with creative disciplines on campus, such as theatre arts, digital arts, creative writing, and music during his/her time here. The Brown Teacher-Scholar Fellows participate in faculty development programs, collaborate with current faculty, and mentor undergraduate research. During the appointment, we would like for the Fellow to present some new major work to the public as part of the programming for our Hand Art Center or Second Stage Theatre.
