Visual / Audio Production Manager
The visual/audio production manager is most focused on the effective, high-quality operation of the visual audio systems and technology.
Extensive experience with visual audio recording equipment, social media, and videography is a prerequisite.
Responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, patching, and improving systems as well as system selection based on project needs.
The work schedule is determined by the SOM/s academic and public performance calendar, which includes a significant number of weekend and evening events. Consequently, the ability to work a flexible schedule and to delegate assignments appropriately are essential functions of the position. In fulfilling the dual responsibilities of Building Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for instrument inventory, coordination of instrument repairs, facility security and act as a liaison with custodial services, Facilities Management and Campus Police.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience with concert staging, lighting and design.
Experience with live streaming concerts and special events.
Thorough understanding of current visual/audio recording theory and practice, as well as facility with professional visual/audio and multimedia hardware and software.
Successful production experience in live sound reinforcement, multi- track recording, sound synthesis, multimedia, and/or related areas.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, work with external constituents, and function successfully as part of a collaborative team.
