Southwest Scenic Group a well-established company that specializes in providing scenery and staging to the production industry. We are currently seeking an Account Executive/Sales representative to be based in our corporate office in Tempe, Az. An employee in this position has the responsibility of marketing and selling all types of scenic elements and production staging used in the production of Corporate Meeting, Broadcast News Sets, Live Performance, Themed Environments, Product Display, Exhibits and Special Events in various locations throughout the United States. This position is involved in all aspects of the sales cycle including estimation, generation proposals, and final invoicing. As well as discerning and distributing information to the production team, while acting as the liaison, when required, between the client and the overall production team. This position requires highly effective, motivated sales experts who exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and at least three years previous experience in a similar role in the Event Production industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
*Develop strong relationships with clients to evaluate clients’ needs to determine and suggest appropriate scenic and staging elements for their events
*Accurately produce and maintain quotes for the clients scenic, staging and production needs. As well as review and reconcile post-event invoices.
*Collaborate with internal departments including sales, fabrication, finish, graphics, inventory, and operations teams, to provide all the necessary information for successful execution of the event.
*Create and maintain event information/communication documents and briefings for internal and external team use.
*Collaborate with multiple departments and work in cross-functional teams to successfully plan and execute large scale scenic and staging projects.
*Establish new accounts by conducting cold calls, approaching prospective customers through face-to-face interaction; respond to qualified referrals, and follow-up to build and expand client base.
*Must be able to review, analyze, and comprehend RFQ, RFP, CAD Drawings, Renderings to produce a comprehensive line-item project quote for the client to review.
*Serve as the primary contacts and liaisons between client and the production staff. Able to communicate the projects objectives and client’s overall expectations.
*Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and multitask simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.
*Maintain focus on client needs by attending client meeting, creating, and maintaining organized job show documentation and responding to client concerns and questions.
*Good persuasion skills; the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously within strict deadlines.
* Moderate travel maybe required from time to time.
Education & Experience
*B.S. from four-year accredited college or university preferred.
*Three to five years’ experience working in live event, corporate meetings, or the production industry space.
*Manage programs and budgets from $50,000 to $250,00+. Proven experience managing large accounts successfully.
*The ability to translate creative concepts into real life experience. An agile and creative mind and an aesthetic sensibility.
*Ability to think quickly under pressure, as well as motivate and engage the team to produce the best possible results.
*Good knowledge of common computer productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office and Excel.
