Full-Time General Manager – Black Box Theater
Seeking General Manager, a full-time salaried position, for a Not-For-Profit, 70 seat professional Black Box Theater in the heart of the Hudson Valley. 90 miles from New York City in a village that has a SUNY University with an enrollment of close to 8000 students .
The General Manager will be responsible for contracts, bookings, financials, HR, Fundraising, volunteer coordination, patron services and facilities management. This position requires a self-motivated, organized, outgoing energetic theater administrator willing to initiate and execute all aspects of professional theater management.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2 plus years’ experience as Assistant GM or GM in a professional theater or similar capacity
- Strong organizational, analytical, computer and research skills
- Self Starter
- Past experience with contracts and negotiations a must
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in multiple roles
