Position:  General Manager

Seeking:  A highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage our thriving organization’s business activities and to sustain, develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.  Under the guidance of the Artistic Director and Board of Directors, duties for the General Manager will include:

  • Coordinating business operations
  • Managing, supporting and motivating staff
  • Managing operational costs with adherence to budget goals
  • Engaging with community partners
  • Developing and executing marketing plans and initiatives
  • Developing plans to achieve strategic goals
  • Developing valuable business relationships

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive and administrative support to the Artistic Director
  • Oversee and support daily business operations (including scheduling and oversight of all internal and external activities for two facilities)
  • Manage the logistics of operations
  • Facilitate communications with members and stakeholders
  • Generate and deliver timely and accurate financial and activity reports and organizational calendars
  • Develop and implement growth and efficacy strategies
  • Promote the activities of the organization internally and externally
  • Promote the vision, mission and core values of the organization

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Arts Administration or Business degree with equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Commitment to the vision, mission and core values of the organization
  • Exemplary writing, speaking and presentation skills
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines, without close supervision; self-directed
  • Acute attention to detail is essential
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software/technologies
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends
