National New Play Network (NNPN) seeks a full-time Executive Assistant for its Washington, DC office.
The position will report to the organization’s Executive Director, and be responsible for supporting all administrative functions of the ED, including calendars and scheduling, travel, and correspondence.
Additionally, the Assistant will provide administrative, financial, development, and event support for a small staff and several consultants, all of whom work remotely. The position also supports information flow to and from the Membership, Board, constituencies, and funders, as well as the Network’s data, archival, and bookkeeping systems.
The Executive Assistant must be able to spend a minimum of 30 hours per week in NNPN’s office (additional hours can be done remotely). The position requires domestic travel 2-4 times annually, and occasional participation in evening/weekend events.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented with excellent writing, communication, and bookkeeping skills. The abilities to prioritize workflow, prepare information for deliverables, and meet deadlines are a necessity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook required; experience with QuickBooks or other bookkeeping systems strongly desired. Experience in nonprofit administration required; theater, arts administration, and/or fundraising experience a plus.
