Job Description

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is currently accepting applications for a Company Management Emerging Professional Resident. The residency runs August 1 – May 31 and reports to the Assistant General Manager/Company Manager. This residency will teach the resident about and allow them to play an integral role in the workings of an active LORT regional theater and will provide them with the opportunity to interact with arts administration professionals, performers, designers, donors, and many others.

The Company Management Resident will help support a busy Administration department.  Duties include planning for and overseeing functions/events, including shopping for supplies for company events, assisting with the guest artist contracting process, maintaining budget spreadsheets, updating and distributing administrative calendars and all staff housekeeping communications, acting as a liaison for the department in assisting with Friends of The Rep volunteer services, assisting with front desk reception needs, and transporting guests of the theater to and from the airport.  Efficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.  A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.

Stipend: $90/week

Housing/Transportation: All EPRs are housed in two or three bedroom apartments at the UW-Milwaukee Kenilworth Apartments. Each Resident has their own room and shares a common area, kitchen, and bathroom with one to two other EPRs. Internet, cable, and all utilities are included. Monthly bus passes are provided to all Residents.   

Perks: In addition to professional development and networking opportunities, EPRs receive free tickets to Rep productions and invitations to Angel events.
