The Community Life and Culture (CL&C) Agency is searching for a marketing and administrator superstar to join the management team as a Community Life and Culture Officer. The CL&C Officer will be responsible for the leadership and administration of the City’s Arts & Culture program, including public art projects and the Arts & Culture working committee. The CL&C Agency works toward building a regional identity as “Southern California’s destination for arts and culture for everyone, every day.” In addition to Arts & Culture Administration, the CL&C Officer oversees the Agency marketing strategy and operations in coordination with the City Communications Department. The CL&C Officer works with a team of City and CL&C Agency members to share with the community and the region, the wonderful activities, programs, and services available for community and visitors.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
-Have a background in Arts Administration and Marketing in a municipal environment.
-Have experience working with internal and external stakeholders on high profile projects.
-Have excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
-Have the ability to build and manage strong relationships internally and externally (critical for success in this position).
-Be committed to providing excellent public service.

The City of Ontario’s Community Life & Culture Agency endeavors to meet the Ontario City Council goal to “encourage, provide or support enhanced recreational, educational, cultural and healthy city programs, policies and activities.” Community Life & Culture does this through a comprehensive array of programs, activities, services and events available through the Recreation & Community Services, Library and Museum Departments as well as the Arts & Culture program.

-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Arts Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or a closely related field.
-Five years of increasingly responsible experience in marketing, public relations or arts and culture administration.
-License Valid Class C California driver’s license and acceptable driving record at the time of appointment.
-Desirable: Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Arts Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or a closely related field.
