Full-Time Assistant Professor of Scenic Design
Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor with expertise in scenic design, beginning August 2019. Duties include: teaching two or three courses in area of specialization each semester, serving as the primary designer for four Theatre department productions annually, and assisting with student recruitment. Professor will also help coordinate communication with guest scenic designers and serve as mentor for student designers. Knowledge and experience of scene painting, lighting and sound design also helpful.
Terminal degree or MA with significant professional theatre experience required, academic and professional experience preferred. The ability to work collaboratively and maintain a strong, positive, professional approach to theatre training is essential.
