Summary

Zeke has a 25-year career in the arts as a director, producer and actor. He has served as the Managing Director for the Hudson Theatres since 2000. From 2015-2019 he also served as the Executive Director for Opera Project Columbus in Columbus, OH. From 1998-2000 Zeke served as Artistic Director for the PAC Theatre in Hollywood. Award Winner – Best Director, 2009 NAACP for Ragtime, which played to sold out crowds in the Hudson Backstage Theatre. Zeke has helmed the Hollywood premieres of Robert Riechel’s Buffalo Hole, Mark Goffman’s Me Too, and Public Pool sketch comedy at Comedy Central Stage. Steven Stanley called Rettman’s stage direction “Herculean” for his work on Ragtime, and Neal Weaver said Rettman’s direction on Buffalo Hole was “impeccable”. Rettman has worked in development on numerous projects including Danielle Mari’s Inconceivable, which premiered at the St. Louis Fringe Festival and Shanit Keter Schwartz’s Daughter of the Wicked, which will premiere at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre in spring of 2022. Zeke has also provided stage direction for Rossini’s Il Barbiere Di Siviglia and Nino Rota’s I Due Timidi with Opera Project Columbus. As an actor he’s received awards from the National Film Challenge and the IFS Film Festival. As a voice over actor, he has been heard in over 100 television and radio commercials.
