Master of Music (Vocal Performance)/The Peabody Conservatory:

I received my degree in 2005. I also studied collaborative piano/accompanying, took conducting classes as well as courses in vocal pedagogy. I performed in opera and musical theatre productions and also performed as a member of the Peabody Concert Singers.

In addition to my performance work, I coached singers, accompanied singers, accompanied the Young People’s String Program and taught voice lessons. 

Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance)/University of Mississippi:

I received my degree in 2003. I performed in university theatre and opera productions, including opera workshop. I also regularly accompanied singers for competitions and recitals. 

I have worked primarily in the musical theatre industry, but since 2017, I have also served as a guest conductor to over 12 US symphonies. I have conducted performances and planned programs in a broad range of musical genres including classical, Broadway, American songbook, rock/pop, holiday and more. I have also worked to hire other artists for these programs, coordinate all aspects of the concert and acted as co-producer.

As a music director, I have led Broadway productions and national tours of Cats, The Phantom of the Opera and Evita. I have also been musical supervisor or associate musical supervisor for The Phantom of the Opera and Evita in the United States and internationally. In these roles, I oversaw all musical aspects of the productions, led music departmental meetings, assisted in casting, ran rehearsals, communicated with other departments (sound, directing, choreography, stage management, etc.) to coordinate efficient and timely completion of tasks throughout all stages of each project from pre-production, tech, previews, to opening.

As a teacher, I have led multiple master classes with large school group ensembles (band, orchestra, choral, drama) by teaching music, speaking about music industry careers and collaborating with other professional artists to educate students about music and theatre. I am experienced with all ages (children, teens, adults) in group settings or one-on-one.
