I am very interested in work with Art. Not only have I dreamed of working in an area where I am surrounded by art since I was a child, but my well rounded background will contribute something new and captivating.
Since assisting the Curator at the Berman Museum of Art, I have desired the opportunity to experience, firsthand, curatorial work. Opening new crates of great artwork feels like Christmas morning and figuring out the layout of a show is an exciting and rewarding challenge. Even the finer details of curating, such as the paperwork of checking inventory, cleaning, and condition reports, enliven my detail-orientated nature. I want to continue to utilize that passion with larger exhibitions of art.
Working at a few museums, I have witnessed the different tactics used to the get the same job done. I have also applied that knowledge to help my graduate students with their own show. How thrilling it was to be part of the show’s success when it began as such a challenge, determining how to hang paintings over brick. Seeing the end result and the large, supportive crowd brought a smile to my face. I want to add to my experience with exhibition preparation, teaching and expand my knowledge in the field.
I am a hardworking, detail oriented, collaborative, and communicative team member. I look forward to discussing, in person, what else I offer to enhance your business.
