Summary
Have three years of experience house managing hundreds of productions, two years of administrative assistance and one year of volunteer coordinating. My career goal is to continue theatre audience services providing a fun and safe experiences for all patrons.
Education
BAS in Organizational Management from Indian River State College with High Honors (May 2018) with a 3.76 GPA. Member of the Emerging Leader Program.
AA in General Studies from Indian River State College with Highest Honors (April 2016) with a 3.87 GPA. Member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Experience
Recently completed internship as an Administration/Front-of-House Intern at Playhouse on the Square, a professional resident theatre company in Memphis, TN. Responsibilities included house managing productions, volunteer coordinating and providing administrative assistance.
Prior to Playhouse on the Square I held a summer position as an Office Assistant (May – August 2018) at Stagedoor Manor, a summer theatre camp, where my responsibilities included administrative assistance and customer service to campers and their families.
Hired by the Performing and Visual Arts Department of Indian River State College (IRSC) for a part-time paid position as the Theatre Manager Assistant and House Manager (2016-May 2018). Responsibilities for house management include; organizing and overseeing ushers, meeting needs of patrons and correcting problems, ensuring house cleanliness and small repairs, maintaining concessions and inventories, working with box office correcting seating problems, escorting patrons to their assigned seating. In addition, I toured with the dinner theatre cast around the local community for the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons. Responsibilities for theatre manager assistant include; assisting the theatre manager with traditional office duties, contacting the performing arts scholarship students for reminders, check-ins and reporting important information, paying invoices, depositing checks, shopping and ordering props, set materials, office supplies and costumes online and in stores for the department, creating Microsoft and Apple documents such as cast lists, season slideshow presentations, audition flyers, attendance sheets and other miscellaneous documents for the department.
Assigned by the performing arts department of IRSC as the Stage Manager for selected shows in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons. Responsibilities included; organizing running crew members, organizing the pickup and delivery of props, costumes and scenery pieces, communicating with the theatre manager and technical directors to ensure performance goals are met, creating prop and scene transition, prop checklist and cast and crew sign-in sheet documents. Shows included The Fox on the Fairway, California Suite, The Cat in the Hat and Night Watch. For the production of The Cat in the Hat, I also ran as the Sound Operator.
Assigned by the performing arts department of IRSC as Run Crew member, Spotlight Operator, Usher and set construction member for various productions throughout my first two years in college and the performing arts department of IRSC (Fall 14-Spring 16). Responsibilities for scenery construction include working in the scene shops assisting in scenery construction for numbers of performances. Responsibilities as running crew member include assisting actors with costume changes, sweeping and mopping the stage pre-show, placing props and sets pieces pre-show and intermission, scene and prop transitions, communicating with the stage manager over headset, organizing props after performances, assisting the stage managers with other miscellaneous tasks. Shows as running crew member included The Amorous Ambassador, Frankenstein, Christmas Doesn’t Love Me Anymore and Murder in Green Meadows. Responsibilities for ushering included; assisting patrons to their assigned seating, greeting patrons as they enter the theatre, passing out programs, picking up leftover programs after performances and sorting through them to recycle and reuse.
