Summary
Looking for entry level positions in Development or Event/Program department.
Prior to joining the MET, my work included extensive corporate client facing and business development responsibilities for international consulting agencies in Shanghai. My strengths include building strong client relationships, event planning and execution as well as cross functional collaborations. Having lived and worked in both China and the US for years (along with extensive travel throughout Asia) I have built a deep cross-cultural understanding in English and Mandarin.

The MET (2019 July – 2020 Aug): Merchandising Assistant, Planning
- Assisted planning manager with merchandising planning by channel, location and special exhibitions. Significantly improved profitability by cutting down unproductive products and sub categories, improved newness and expanded upon best sellers based on sales and customer profile analysis.
- Recapped weekly sales by evaluating key sales KPIs(% to LY, penetration, sell thru & AUR) to analyze the effectiveness of the current strategy, then provide my findings and action points to planning manager, buyer, product team and the store operation team.
- Conducted market trends and through competitor analysis to optimize mix of product, price architecture and digital merchandising. Recommended opportunities in response to the pandemic changes.
- Working with marketing and editorial team, developed a much better understanding of customer needs and wants. Contributed ideas to the E-commerce site revamp, delivered higher quality online experience on par with the museum visits resulting in sales increases.
Macy’s (2018 March – 2019 July): Digital Merchandising Assistant
- Worked with Omni buyer on assortment strategies, analyzed in season product performances and influenced assortment needs as input for Omni channel plan.
- Worked on weekly sales report to track best sellers, slow sellers and identified areas of opportunity. Especially helped with new product categories which quickly resulted in large online assortment.
