Summary

An extensive and diverse body of work that has included TYA, Improv, Musicals (revue to full-scale), New Plays, ‘the Classics’ and ‘the Legit’, in venues ranging from black boxes and the outdoors to full scale pros houses in National Theatres, and in residencies, in academic institutions, and on local, regional, national and international tours – including five years in the UK.

Responsible for coordination and hands-on event management activities such as project planning and execution; scheduling; consultation and negotiation and liaison between talent, management, production, venue and PR; logistics; analysis and problem-solving; on-site event management: casting, creating and maintaining artistic and contractual intent to such time-sensitive events as theatre, festivals, multimedia events, galas, expos, live and recorded broadcasts and film.

1986 – 1992: Worked in the UK with a variety of commercial and regional companies in such theatres as the Perth Theatre, Liverpool Playhouse, Birmingham Rep, His Majesty’s Aberdeen, Theatre Royal Lincoln, Salisbury Playhouse and The Young Vic. Toured a production to Pakistan for the British Council, was Co-Founding Artistic Director (*) to TheatreSports London, and did voice-over work.

1975 – 1986: Bastion Theatre – Mainstage & For Kids, Spectrum Dance, Victoria Theatre Guild and Four Seasons Musical Theatre (Victoria); Arts Club, Canadian Folk Puppets; Vancouver International Children’s Festival; Beaux Gestes 86 and EXPO 86 (Vancouver); Loose Moose, Stage West and Trickster (Calgary); Citadel Theatre, The Fringe and TheatreSports Edmonton (Edmonton). Co-Founding Artistic Director to TheatreSports Northshore (Vancouver). Worked on a number of films, a TV Pilot and CBC-TV (Victoria and Vancouver); Researcher, camera, host and producer – Urban Cable (Victoria); Council member – South Island Zone, TheatreBC.

(*) Credited with bringing Theatresports to the UK and encouraging the involvement of a number of the original members of the early 1960’s group from The Royal Court, The Theatre Machine. The Company performed regularly at The Donmar Warehouse and The Arts Theatre in the West End.
