Summary
I am a dancer with Tampa Ballet Theatre and the former wardrobe mistress of Ballet Theatre of Maryland. I was in charge of designing and creating, as well as refurbishing, costumes for ballets. I know how to create a classical tutu from start to finish.
Education
I attended the University of Oklahoma and received a BFA in Ballet Performance.
Experience
At Ballet theatre of Maryland I was a principal dancer as well as wardrobe mistress. I designed and created the costumes. I worked closely with parent volunteers to coordinate children’s fittings, minor repairs, hair and make-up requirements. I also worked closely with the artistic director to finalize designs for the professional company’s costumes. I have designed costumes for many ballets including The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Swan Lake. I also own an etsy shop selling custom leotards.
