Summary
At the present, I am working at Baltimore School for the Arts as a Set Design Part Time Teacher and counselor -four level classes- and as a Scenic Artist advisor for the school shows. In 2009, I was honored to received the Mark K. Joseph Professional Development Award in recognition of the energy, expertise and high standard brought to the stage production program from the BSA.
I received my MFA (Set Design) at the University of Massachusetts where I worked as a teaching assistant and as a teacher for introductory art level classes. Also, I had the opportunity to work in different shows as a Set Designer, Prop Master and Scenic Artist.
In addition to the University of Massachusetts, I have worked at Imagination Stage in Maryland as a scenic artist and set designer for The Robber Bridegroom, as well as at The Hispanic Theater GALA, and at Teatro de la Luna. I also worked as a scenic artist for Folger Theater, Studio Theater, Miniature Theatre of Chester, The Shakespeare Theater, Signature Theater, and Atlas Performing Art Center.
Also, I had a great experience working at the University of Maryland as a Scenic Artist for shows at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center where I had the chance to show my abilities as an assistant as an artist. One of my goals as an art teacher is to develop artists who value respectful collaboration, approach their work with generosity, and transform their own skills into dynamic and creative art.
