Full-Time University Box Office Manager
NYU seeks a talented University Box Office Manager. The Box Office Manager will manage the comprehensive ticketing and box office services for performances and events in the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, the Kimmel Center for University Life, and other venues contracted by NYU Ticket Services. She/he wll supervise all aspects of the box office operation including recruitment, training, and management of box office staff to ensure excellent customer service to the NYU community and general public.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Arts Administration or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination, including experience managing a box office using the Tessitura Network as their ticketing system, supervising staff and working in a fast-paced environment with high profile clients.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following:
Exceptional leadership, administrative, and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to prioritize responsibilities and maintain attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to perform ticket and revenue accounting and implement audit systems.
Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing.
Personal integrity and honesty are also important.
