Position Summary

* Teach Stagecraft I, Intro to Theatre and classes to be developed later (Stagecraft II, Elements of Design.) There may teaching assignments at satellite campus and/or online classes as well.

* Design sets for at least two shows a year.

* Oversee scene shop and maintain regularly scheduled hours in same.

* Oversee construction of set designs and supervise students in same.

* Work with Director of Theatre program to coordinate production budgets, including petty cash receipts, purchase orders, etc.

*Advise students.
*Perform faculty service.
*Participate in professional development activities.
*Other duties as assigned

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

A. Experience with and/or ability to teach beginning and intermediate stagecrafts.
B. Experience with and/or ability to teach Introduction to Theatre.
C. Experience with and/or ability to teach online.
D. Experience with and/or ability to teach basic elements of sound design.
E. Experience with and/or ability to teach basic elements of lighting.
F. Experience with computerized lighting boards and sound mixing boards.
G. Ability to supervise students in various theatre production areas.
H. Experience in designing and building theatrical sets.
I. Ability to work with production budgets.

Required Qualifications

1. MFA or MA in Scene Design or Technical Direction
2. Knowledge of/Experience in Lighting and Sound Design
