Full-Time Recording Studio Director/ Teaching-Artist
To work with campers (ages 8-15) at highly regarded Sleep-away Summer Camps in collaboration with NY based Music Education company Music Ascension L.L.C. We have Pro Tools and Reason equipped recording studios in which the campers write and record their own songs. Teaching Artist will lead workshops in Songwriting, Music Production, and Performance Coaching. Ability to facilitate “General Music style” classes (drum circles, sing-alongs, music appreciation, etc.).is a big plus.
MUST have considerable NON-LECTURE based Classroom teaching experience and/or Music Workshop facilitation experience.(Private or Small Group Instrument Lessons typically not sufficient teaching experience)
MUST have skills necessary to record, mix, and produce a CD.
MUST be positive minded, fun-spirited, energetic, and a consistently supportive contributor to the camp community.
Proximity to Tri-State area preferable for Pre-Summer Training.
Prior Camp Experience a big plus.
Salary+ room and board provided on camp.
3-5 workshops per day
5.5 days a week.

Starting Date: June 9 (Campers arrive June 16)
Ending Date: August 10
Available Studio Director/Teaching-Artist Position 2 (Readfield, Maine)
Starting Date: June 20 (Campers arrive June 28)
Ending Date: August 16
