POSITION: Master Audio Engineer
REPORTS TO: Audio Supervisor
JOB TYPE: Seasonal approx. early August- early June, hourly with overtime after 40, potential to renew contract

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Master Audio Engineer is responsible for the load in, strike, live mixing, board operation, and system maintenance of KC Rep shows as assigned by the Audio Supervisor. Must have recording experience, rigging knowledge, and the ability to work as a team.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to read, interpret, and build from designer drawings as assigned by Audio Supervisor
Understanding of sound signal flow, troubleshooting and equipment repair skills.
Detailed knowledge of current audio technology, wireless microphone setup/operation, and com systems
Knowledge in live mixing reinforcement, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good night vision
Ability to work at heights and climb ladders
Participation in all show load-ins and strikes, as well as tech and previews, with the expectation of working evenings and weekends.
Work in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
Any other tasks as requested by Audio Supervisor
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theatre or related field.
2 years experience in live musical theatre mixing.
Understanding of basic theatre components (general knowledge of carpentry, lighting, projections and other related departments).
Ideal candidate will have a wide range of Sound skills including:
Digital Audio Consoles
Strong organizational skills
