Full-Time Job Head Carpenter
Head Carpenter – Ford’s Theatre seeks qualified individual for the position of Head Carpenter responsible for coordinating the technical needs of the theatrical productions during load ins, rehearsals, performances and strikes while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship, efficiency and safety. In addition, the position is a key collaborator for the successful design, implementation, and execution of automation for productions.

The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of theatre automation, rigging, theatrical carpentry, CAD programs, basic computer programming and hardware setups, electricity, as well as have excellent time management, responsiveness and interpersonal skills. A working knowledge of theatrical lighting, sound, video design is preferred. Ability to work with varied personalities and timetables, nationally and internationally acclaimed designers, directors, and actors essential.
Successful candidate must be a member of or willing to join IATSE Local 22.
