Full-Time Gallery Operations Manager

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

Gallery Operations
– Draft consignment agreements
– Draft all invoices
– Negotiate insurance policy with brokers and monitor insurance values
– Manage gallery finances and work with bookkeeper to implement new ways to cut costs
– Create, design and manage e-blast marketing campaigns with graphic designer
– Review credit card statements and monitor gallery spending
– Update social media accounts
– Manage gallery website
– Work with sales directors to make sure works of art in the database and on ArtBinder are up to date

Staff Management
– Oversee staff
– Hire and train new staff and interns
– Keep track of vacation days and sick days
– Schedule staff for evenings and Saturdays when needed

Qualifications
– Ability to manage a staff and delegate tasks
– Ability to read and understand legal and financial contracts
– Must be extremely discreet and confidential
– Ability to juggle multiple tasks and keep composure in stressful situations
– Excellent writing skills
– Proficiency of Mac, ArtBase and ArtBinder is a plus
