Principal Lecturer or Reader title in specific disciplinary area of expertise subject to confirmation by the School’s Conferment of Academic Titles Committee.
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is seeking to appoint a dynamic theatre practitioner and educator with the vision to lead the academic development of its flagship Theatre Practice training. The Curriculum Leader: Production, Arts and Design will work with an established team of expert course leaders across twelve specialist areas of theatre and performance arts, crafts, production and design.

You will also help develop new collaborations across the School (including at postgraduate level) and beyond.
Guided by the Learning, Teaching and Student Experience strategy as well as best industry and academic standards of practice, students will be at the heart of your work. You will lead and coordinate the Theatre Practice team in ensuring that curriculum design and pedagogic methods train students as reflective practitioners, able to apply and integrate high level specialist skills within a thorough understanding of theatre’s collaborative processes. You will have a strong vision for training production, arts and design graduates who will shape the future of theatre, be committed to developing as an academic leader and excited about contributing towards Central’s international profile as one of the world’s leading conservatoires of the theatre and performance arts.
