NAST-accredited Theatre Arts department seeks theatre artist/educator (all specialties welcome) to lead production and degree programs at extraordinary moment in long history. The University of Louisville is Carnegie-designated Research One and community-engaged university. Home to the African American Theatre Program since 1993, the department has a deep commitment to all dimensions of diversity, on stage and off. Candidates should have: demonstrated experience working with diverse communities, students, faculty, and staff; terminal degree or commensurate professional credits; significant administrative experience; successful academic career that qualifies for the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure.
We offer a BS within a liberal arts college, an MFA in Performance, and a Graduate Certificate in African American Theatre. At least five Mainstage shows and student-led Studio series.
