Full-Time Job Assistant/Associate Professor of Theatre History

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University seeks a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Theatre History starting fall 2018.
Teaching responsibilities include a two-semester undergraduate theatre history sequence and graduate theatre history courses.
Required qualifications: Ph. D. in theatre history or related emphasis, successful university-level teaching experience, strong publication record in the area of theatre history/criticism/performance studies or related emphasis, administrative skills, and record of collegiality.
Preferred qualifications: two or more years of successful university-level teaching in the area of theatre history, experience teaching at the graduate level, active in national theatre associations, and an interest in working with a diverse student population and development of multi-cultural curriculum.
Additional qualifications for rank of Associate Professor: have held rank as assistant professor, consistent record of publication, seven years’ university theatre program teaching experience.
